Columbus Christmas Gift Exchange and Engagement!

Meghan and I packed the Explorer once again and headed down to Old Columbus Town for our annual gift exchange with her sisters Sarah and Heather. We also had an ulterior motive which was being planned behind the scenes by Sarba's boyfriend Blake who had purchased an engagement ring and was ready to pop the question!! We first headed to Sarba's apartment and distributed our gifts for each other. Here are some pics of our expressions after opening fabulous gifts...







Next we jumped into our vehicles and went off to a great meal at Bd's Mongolian Barbeque. The food and atmosphere was awesome. Blake was playing it perfectly and Sarba had no clue what was about to happen at our next stop...






Then we headed to the main event of the evening which was to see the christmas lights on display at the Columbus Zoo. This is the spot where Blake planned the ceremonies to take place. I was trying to capture everything with my camera in anticipation of the big moment...




















After waiting for the perfect moment, outside the African exhibit, Blake caught Sarba totally by surprise...







I think he pulled it off pretty well, She didn't expect a thing. We wish this cute couple nothing but blessings and happiness for the rest of their lives.
