Rigging up the lights

Yes, you guessed correctly boys and girls, It's the time of year that Clark W. Griswold pulls out the ball of knotted outdoor twinkle lights and adorns the home with dazzling elegance. It was my first successful attempt in two tries to put up some outdoor lights and I think I did a pretty good job...for a novice. Meghan did most of the indoor decoration, and it looks great. We also did lots of Christmas shopping on the most popular shopping day of the year, the day after Thanksgiving. Hopefully we can finish up soon without busting the budget too far. Next step, drive out to the wilderness and bring home the Griswold Family Christmas Tree... (little full, lot o' sap - remarks clark while spitting out pine needles) To be continued...

Thanksgiving in the Hocking Hills

Thanksgiving came and went quickly this year and Meghan and I made the trip down to Hocking County to visit the Muck Fichigan Farm. The turkey was great, the guiness was foamy, and the after dinner hike displayed some awesome views of the sunset over the beautiful rolling hills of southern Ohio.

Happy Thanksgiving one and all...Here are some pics of the family.
Only 28 Shopping days left until Christmas!

Browns vs. Steelers

After reaching the pinnacle of victory on Saturday night while witnessing the #1 Buckeyes trouncing of the #2 Wolverines, I was expecting a miracle at the end of this nail biter. All week long I was getting more and more anxious for a week of great football rivalries. The games didn't disappoint, but the final score of the browns game left something to be desired. All is lost for this season for the orange and brown, but we'll still support them no matter how badly they are demoralized each and every Sunday for one simple reason... We, the fans of Cleveland, remember what life was like without football, and we don't want to return to the Dark Ages again.

Here are some pics of the trip Meghan and I took, on the bus drive to Browns Town, in our upper deck seating, a scoreboard shot after an electrifying kick return for a TD from our NFL leading kick returner Joshua Cribbs and while witnessing a heartbreaking drive orchestrated by Toothlessburger. Wait till next year...

Ps: Brownies got destroyed again this weekend at the hands of the BEN - GALS 30 - 0. The only high points from this week in football were the Steelers getting whooped by the Ravens, leaving the Browns still in contention to force the Black and Gold back into last place just a year after their super bowl championship.

AFC North Div Standings (after today)
Ravens 9-2
Bengals 6-5
Steelers 4-7
Browns 3-8

Dining Room Makeover

We just fininshed another room makeover here on Hancock St. This time we tackled the previously dark and dreary dining room. We chose a lighter and more muted version of a terra cotta color along with adding a chair rail and making the woodwork pop by painting it white. This room looks great, a big change mainly through paint color selection. Here is a look at the process and the final product.

Ps. Its Game Day, and I had to whittle the hours down so I decided to be somewhat productive instead of watching 7 hours worth of pregame shows. Instead I'll post here and watch 5 hours worth. : ) GO BUCKS! MICHIGAN SUCKS!

Babysitting Baby Tyler

Here are some photos of the adventures Meghan and I had on our first experience babysitting the cutest baby ever...well, since I was born, of course.
Tyler is the son of Meghan's friend and co-worker Ern Ernowski (Also Known as Erin). Tyler's Mom and Dad had an opportunity to have a romantic dinner at Olive Garden while we kept the rugrat busy. It was alot of fun. I attempted to tire him out with his toy car, as i rolled it in circles for 15 minutes until he got tired of chasing it and collapsed in panting defeat. It was an early lesson for the young protege..." sometimes life isn't fair." He decided to fight back with a Waaaaaaaa, Waaaaaaa!! but eventually put on a big smile again.

And, by the way, No Mom we are not ready to give you any grandkids just yet. : )

We Don't Give a Damn For the Whole State of Michigan

This is it everyone. The week we've all been waiting for is finally here. I can barely think about anything else already and its only Monday. The anticipation is building as the sportscasters on the Buckeye Roundtable radio program sound ever confident that Troy Smith will lead us to victory once again. We are counting on him to play his best game vs. Michigan, and luckily the stats have shown that to be true. We need to rip their hearts out and let them die with a soft wimper in OLD COLUMBUS TOWN.

GO BUCKS.

4 more work days to go.
